about us

The Elm Creek Watershed Authority operates and maintains thirty-four flood control structures in parts of Bell, Falls, McLennan and Milam Counties. These earthen dams were designed and constructed by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The Board of Directors of the District meets regularly in Temple, Texas at the Elm Creek Watershed Authority office unless otherwise noted.  All meetings are open to the public.

Board meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of each month, time varies dependent on daylight savings time.  You can find an archive of all previous meeting agendas and board packets, which includes a link to the most recent agenda and packet.
